Daniel Gehrs Wines
Dan is a wine God. The Daniel Gehrs Wines label was founded in 1990 with production of only 1,000 cases. Although production increased to 7,500 cases in 2001, the focus remains the same: creating small lots of high quality wines, offered at reasonable prices. White wines include Chenin Blanc and Viognier; the red wine focus is on Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon.
I have been a wine club member for over 10 years.

Zaca Mesa
You all remember your first kiss? Well, Zaca Mesa is the winery that made me fall in love with wine. An estate winery dedicated to Rhône varieties. Syrah, Viognier (served at our wedding party), Roussanne, several Rhône blends, and Chardonnay. Again, consistency- year after year. Dan Gehrs was the wine maker here when I starting coming here. The first wine club I ever joined, and still a member.

Demetria Estate
One thing that really makes Demetria Estates different is that they are a Biodynamic winery. Biodynamic wineries use agriculture originated out of the spiritual scientific research of the Austrian scientist and philosopher Rudolf Steiner, the founder of Anthroposphy and Waldorf education. Another very unique process used here is the aging process, most wineries age their wines in oak or stainless steel barrels, and Demetria uses concrete tanks! The wines are mostly in the ever popular Rhone style, with Syrah, Mourvedre, Grenache, Viognier, Roussanne, Marsanne and Grenache Blanc.

Now to get to Demetria Estate, you need to pass through two combination gates, the combinations are not posted and you need to know them…. Well, I know them and if you want to go drop me a note and I will send it to you!
